Short Doc “Thirty Eight Minutes” Chronicles Missile Threat

Robbie’s latest documentary score project, “Thirty Eight Minutes”, is a retelling of the harrowing ballistic missile false alarm that shook Hawaii in 2018.

Directed by Rich Williamson and Shasha Nakhai, the film score features the expected notes of gravitas and terror, but also illustrates the bizarre feeling that came in the aftermath of the false alarm – a curious sense of “what just happened?” and, “can we really just go back to normal?”

Perhaps appropriately, Robbie wrote the score in March of 2020 from his home in Venice, CA, in the midst of the first major lockdown of the 2020 pandemic.
