Robbie’s Audience Scoring Demo a Hit at NatGeo Emmy Showcase

Along with his mentor Sean Callery and teammate Tim Callobre, Robbie designed and built a live scoring demonstration featuring music for Sean’s score for NatGeo’s hit series, The Hot Zone, at an event showcasing the channel’s top shows at The Greek Theatre.

Dozens of industry insiders enjoyed the opportunity to “score” a scene in realtime with Sean’s encouragement, which Robbie then quickly edited on the spot and played back. The setup consisted of MIDI keyboards and drums, programmed in advance to play epic drum sounds and atmospheric accents, while a video monitor displayed an epic scene of a helicopter taking off with Sean’s stirring music.
